The lip blush treatment takes approx 3 hours, during which Stacey will map out the perfect lip shape, mix up your chosen shade and once you’re happy, we’ll get started. The lip blush tattooing process takes approx 1.5 hours.

Most people are suitable for lip blush. Those who are not suitable include pregnant or breastfeeding, those with recent lip filler, those with very dry lips, or those with active lip infections or cold sores (if you have HSV-1, you can still have lip blush but you should seek a preventative medication ahead of the treatment).

Lip blush typically lasts 1-2 years, depending on your lifestyle and metabolism. An annual colour boost is recommended to keep your lip blush looking it’s best.

Lip blush is generally considered not to be very painful (it is much more superficial than a typical tattoo). It can be a little uncomfortable towards the end of the treatment, as we will shade over the same area to build coverage. We will apply numbing cream both before and throughout the lip blushing treatment to keep you comfortable.

After your treatment, your lips may have a little swelling (this will subside within the first 2-24 hours). Your lip colour will be darker than the healed results and will continue to darken over the first few days, before shedding the lip skin and revealing new skin. The healed results will be visible after a few weeks, and will be made more vibrant by the top up 6-8 weeks later.
